“Neighbors in Need”
CONTEST RULES
ELIGIBILITY
Open to legal U.S. residents of the WHAG viewing area, 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Void where prohibited or restricted by applicable federal, state or local laws or regulations. Winners will be notified by e-mail or telephone. If any prize notification or e-mail is undeliverable, or in the event of non-compliance with any other requirements, the prizes will be forfeited and awarded in a second chance drawing. Employees of Nexstar Broadcasting, WHAG-TV, Second Street Media Solutions, the National Broadcasting Company, Inc., their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, contractors working on their products, projects or promotions, advertising and promotion agencies and members of their immediate families (parents, children and siblings and their spouses) and household members are not eligible.
HOW TO ENTER:
Viewers must obtain the “keyword” by visiting one of the participating sponsor locations and finding the Lou Scally cardboard standup. The keyword can be entered one of three ways: texting the keyword to 45995, entering the keyword on your4state.com under the “Neighbors in Need” content area, mailing the keyword to Neighbors in Need, 13 East Washington Street, Hagerstown, MD 21740.

WINNER:
One winner will be randomly chosen from all entries received with the correct keyword. Winners will be notified by email. If a winner is unreachable after seven (7) days, or if that winner is unavailable for prize fulfillment, an alternate winner will be selected. If your4state.com cannot find an eligible winner for the prize, that prize will not be awarded.
PRIZES:
A month’s worth of gas and groceries for a family of four; $750 in grocery gift cards and $250 in gas gift cards.

Entry constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to Sponsors' and their designee's use of winners' names and likenesses for purposes of advertising, promotion, and publicity purposes without additional compensation.

If for any reason, the Internet Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, and unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of WHAG, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity of the Contest, WHAG reserves the right in its discretion to disqualify any individual it believes has tampered with the entry process, and/or cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. WHAG assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alternation of, entries. WHAG is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or provider, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail to be received by WHAG because of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to the participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this contest.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BY MADE, WHAG RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY OFFENDER TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. In the event of a dispute, entries will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line served provider or other organization (e.g. business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Sponsors may require proof of account holder status. The use of automated entry devices is prohibited.

Failure to comply with these rules may result in disqualification from this promotion. Sponsors reserve the right to permanently disqualify from any promotion it sponsors, any person it believes has intentionally violated these rules.

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Automated voting of any kind is not allowed.
Detection of said automated voting will lead to votes being voided.
Only one registered account per voter. If multiple accounts are detected for a single voter, they will be disabled and votes disqualified.
your4state.com reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value.
your4state.com reserves the right to restrict the local winners to only persons whose primary residence is within a 60 mile radius of the affiliate's' office.
Employees of your4state.com, its respective parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising sponsors and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of each are not eligible.
Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the contest commissioners, which are final on all matters pertaining to the contest.
Entrants further grant to your4state.com the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Contest.
your4state.com reserves the right to use any and all information related to the Contest, including information on contestants obtained through the contest, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law.

Each winner, by acceptance of the prize, agrees to release all Sponsors, and their parent and subsidiary companies, their officers, directors, employees, agents, shareholders, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, and advertising agencies from all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of the prize.
UPICKEM and your4state.com are not responsible for Internet crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion, viruses, sabotage, satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural disasters or acts of man or God.
All results posted are unofficial until winners respond to e-mail notification.
Each winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes and will be required to complete an IRS form W-9. Sponsor reserves the right to withhold prizes until completed form W-9 is received.
This contest is not intended for gambling. If it is determined that a contestant is using the contest for gambling purposes they will be disqualified and reported to authorities.
