Hello everyone my name is phantasia Smith and I'm coming to tell you about a hero that I know. Shes more like an angel on earth. Her name is Nakia Jones and she is my mommy. Shes been a police officer for 19 years. She paid her way through the police accademy along with working part time at the post office and also taking care of a two year old little girl(me). Many said she wouldn't make it through but she did. She is now working for the Warrensville height police station and she has been there for 10years now protecting and serving the people of warrensville heights she is also the FIRST African American female on the force oh and need not to mention the ONLY female officer. Shes also the founder or Njp productions a non profit organazitation that helps touch and shave lives through gospel plays she also writes and directs these plays. In the year of 2012 Mrs. Jones was able to bring christmas to 3 less fortunated familes. Three children where seclected by the community that were in homeless shelters or in need she filled baskets with coats toys babydolls socks and other helpful items that just lite up these 3 children's faces that were beginning to lose hope. Wondering where she got the money? No it wasn't raised or sponsored. She did this with her money out of the kindness of her own heart. Pretty amazing womanyou may say. She puts on her uniform everyday to protect and serve the community. Willing to risk her life for the people in the city of warrenville heights. Not knowing if she will make it home to her family. Yet and still she does it. Though Ithank her each day for what she does I feel like she should be awarded for her bravery, and also her kind heart. My mommy would give her last to anybody expecting nothing in return. These last few months Mrs. Jones has been off of work because of an injury at work. She injured her knee while protecting a fellow officer. She know is at risk of having sugery on this knee . This may make it hard for Mrs.Jones to continue to protect in sever. I truly hope that you will take the time to recognize Mrs. Jones for all she has done and is still doing for this community its not many that will risk their life to save the lives of others. |
